The city of Prague hosted the 23rd ISPRS Congress, from the 12th to the 19th of July. The event gathered all the important actors in GIS, academic or profesional, worldwide. Several sessions dedicated to Indoor Modelling and Navigation was held, and two papers have been presented in the scope of the SIMs3D (see below).

One is regarding the evaluation of the Tango tablet for indoor modeling that targets 3D indoor navigation applications. The other is about comparing the Zeb1 and the Leica scanners that have been tested earlier, in October 2015. The papers were presented in very crowded sessions, and brought interesting discussion with the attendees.

Among other important news, Sisi Zlatanova has been elected as the new President of the ISPRS Commission IV Spatial Information Science, for a period of 4 years. Congratulations to her! Pictures and more details of the event can be found at the dedicated website of the conference.
